Ligus is a product by Bharath Sai Kondaveeti ("we", "us"). This page explains, in plain words, what information Ligus and this website handle, and what we never see.

The short version
Ligus runs on your own computer. Your documents never come to us. We do not receive your documents, your questions, your answers, or your AI provider key. The only personal information we hold is the email address of people who join the Ligus launch list on this website.
The Ligus application
Your documents stay on your machine. Ligus reads and indexes your documents locally, on your computer. Nothing about your documents is sent to us.
Your AI provider key stays yours. You paste your own key from your AI provider into the app. The key is kept in your browser on your machine, for the length of time you choose. It is never sent to us, never stored by us, and never written to our logs.
What leaves your machine when you ask a question: your question, and the part of your document that the question needs, go directly from your computer to the AI provider you chose, using your key. That transfer is between you and your provider, and your provider's own privacy policy applies to it. The rest of your document does not leave your machine.
No accounts, no tracking in the app. Ligus has no sign-up, no analytics, and no crash reporting. Usage records and history are stored only on your computer, and you can delete them there at any time.
This website and the launch list
This website is hosted by Systeme.io. If you enter your email to join the launch list, that email is stored by Systeme.io on our behalf so we can send you the launch announcement. We use double opt-in: you must confirm from your own inbox before you are subscribed.
We use your email only to write to you about Ligus. We never sell, rent, or share it with anyone else for their marketing.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. One click removes you.
Systeme.io and, at purchase time, our checkout provider (Gumroad) may use cookies and similar tools needed to run their services. Their own privacy policies cover their handling of that data.
Purchases
When Ligus is purchased, payment is handled by the checkout provider (Gumroad). We do not see or store your card details. The provider shares with us the buyer's email address and order information, which we use only to deliver the product, provide updates, and meet tax and accounting duties.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you (normally just your launch-list or purchase email), and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to bharathkondaveeti9@gmail.com and we will act on it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. If a change is significant, launch-list subscribers will be told by email.
